[Actions]:
Glycine is the simplest amino acid, which can be generated by lossing a carbon atom.  Glycine participates in the synthesis of purine, porphyrin, creatine and glyoxylic acid, glyoxylic acid oxidation.   Glycine prompts the incidence of the genetic disease oxalate urinary because of oxalate.  In addition, glycine combines with a wide variety of substances to make it discharge from bile or urine.  In addition, glycine can provide nitrogen for non-essential amino acids and improve tolerance of amino acid injection in vivo. Glycine used together with glutamic acid, alanine can effectly prevent and treat BPH complications and voiding dysfunction, urinary frequency, residual urine and other symptoms.  Nowadays, as an important fine chemical products, glycine is widely used in medicine, pesticides, food, fertilizers, fodder and other industries, its greatest usage is that can be used in synthesis of glyphosate herbicide and treatment of myasthenia gravis and other nutritional disorders.  Classification purposes as follows :
1.　Industrial glycine :
 (1)　Used for thiamphenicol intermediate;  the main raw materials of herbicide glyphosate;  supporting materials of efficient and low toxicity pesticides dichlorobenzene.
(2)　Reduce nitrate content of the vegetables.  Spraying oxalic acid glycine in the previous harvest day into vegetables can significantly reduce the nitrate content of vegetables
2.　Feed-grade glycine : used as the attraction agent of pet feed and nutrition agent.
3.　Food -grade glycine
(1)　Flavorings, sweeteners, preservatives (or use combining with L- sodium glutamate, DL-alanine, citric acid).  If adding glycine into the spices, beverages, pickling etc can maintain and increase sources of sweetness and inhibit the reproduction of Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. 
(2)　Stabilizein vitamin C in food processing.
4.　Medicine - glycine :
(1)　Preparations for the amino acid infusion, chlortetracycline buffer, synthetic raw materials of L-dopa (L-dopamine), cephalosporins, cosmetics and amino acids. 
(2)　Add adjuvant therapy drugs.  Used for muscle weakening,  hypertrophic muscle dystrophy and the treatment of neuropathic ulcer and gastric acid excessive. 
(3)　Glycine blocks the increasing of intracellular free Ca2+ caused by liver cells' vasoactive mediators. 
(4)　Sedation on the central nervous.  Glycine can help reduce over-excited and improve anxious state of neurasthenia, insomnia.
(5)　Glycine is non-polar amino acids, with characteristics of good transparency, no paste, no conductive.  Glycine can be configured to 1.5% solution used as special fluid for endovascular surgery urology.
