State-owned China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation, or Sinopec, settled its April contract price for paraxylene at Yuan 6,200/mt Friday, up Yuan 105/mt from its March settlement, market sources said.
Based on an exchange rate of 6.4803, the April CP settlement is equivalent to about $801.70/mt on an import parity basis.
April was initially nominated at Yuan 6,300/mt.
Platts last assessed PX at $817.33/mt CFR Taiwan/China Thursday, up $22/mt day on day.
