Eastman Chemical will raise its global butyl acetate prices by 5 cents/lb for May, as a result of higher feedstock costs, the company said Thursday.
The increase will be implemented on May 1 or as contracts allow, the company said.
Oxea earlier this week announced a 5 cents/lb increase in its BUTAC prices for May, according to a letter to customers.
Feedstock US chemical-grade propylene contract prices for April settled 1 cent higher at 31 cents/lb after rising 1.50 cents in March.
Platts last assessed BUTAC on Tuesday at 54-55 cents/lb FOB USG and at 58-59 cents/lb delivered.
