Total has lifted force majeure on deliveries of polypropylene, polyethylene and expanded polystyrene at its site in Feluy, Belgium, a source close to the company said Monday.
On Thursday, the company restarted shipments to customers following more than 48 hours of blocked dispatches.
The force majeure was put in place Wednesday following a regional strike by trucking companies which blocked roads in southern Belgium.
Feluy is home to Europe's largest polypropylene plant, which has a production capacity of 900,000 mt/year, making up over 9% of Western Europe's total production capacity.
Total also produces high density polyethylene at the site, and its plant has a production capacity of 170,000 mt/year. Expanded polystyrene production capacity at Feluy is 70,000 mt/year, according to Platts data.
