US dried distillers grains exports fell slightly to $150.54 million in February, down $845,000, or 0.55%, from January, Department of Agriculture data showed Tuesday.
US exports for DDGS tallied 785,383 mt in February, a decrease of 15,197 mt compared with January, according to the data. February marked the fourth straight month that DDGS exports fell below 1 million mt, after six consecutive months of breaching that milestone.
February also saw a year-on-year decrease in value from February 2015. February 2016 DDGS exports declined 17.42% over February 2015, which came in at $182.31 million. February 2015 exports came in a 803,203 mt.
The per-metric ton price of DDGS exports rose slightly, breaking a seven-month slide, rising to $191.70/st from $189.10/st in January, the data showed.
China remained the US' top customer for DDGS exports for February, buying 210,559 mt of the ethanol co-product. Mexico, Vietnam, Thailand and Canada rounded out the top five US DDGS customers.
