Negotiations for the first quarter aluminum premiums for imports into Japan moved on Monday, with more settlements reported at $110/mt plus London Metal Exchange cash CIF Japan and one in the $110-114/mt range, sources in the talks said.

Four deals were confirmed closing at $110/mt plus LME cash CIF Japan for 500-2,000 mt/month of P1020A/P1020 ingot each, for loading in January to March 2016, up from $90/mt plus LME cash CIF for the current quarter.

One deal for over 500 mt/month of ingot was reported done in the range of $110-114/mt plus LME cash CIF Japan, as confirmed by a buyer and a seller in the deal.

Platts, however, could not confirm the exact premium level.

Other market participants negotiating in the talks could not be reached Monday.

The negotiations involved three global producers and 10-15 Japanese buyers.
