US petrochemical producer Flint Hills Resources is shutting down its propane dehydrogenation plant in Houston, Texas, ahead of a planned turnaround, the company said in a message on a community information line.
"These are normal shutdown activities which pose no danger to the community and no action is required," the company said Tuesday.
Company spokeswoman was not immediately available on Wednesday to confirm the shutdown or provide expected duration.
The plant was last restarted on November 16 after a seven-day planned outage, according to prior company reports.
