Shenzhen port in South China's Guangdong Province is expected to see 3.5-4-mil mt of bonded bunker sales volume by 2015, according to Ma Yongzhi, deputy director of the Transport Committee of Shenzhen Municipality.
Ma made the prediction at the fourth Asia Bunker Forum held by C1 Energy in Hong Kong.
Currently, there are three qualified bonded bunker traders at Shenzhen port, including Brightoil, Chimbusco Shenzhen and SinoBunker Shenzhen, Ma introduced. By the year of 2015, sales of the three in Shenzhen port are estimated to hit 2.5-mil mt, 1-mil mt and 500,000mt, respectively, Ma elaborated. In 2010, the three imported 2.14-mil mt of bonded bunker in total and recorded a combined 2.15-mil mt of sales, said Ma.
Ma also predicted container throughput of Shenzhen port will reach 28-mil TEU by 2015.
