Operating rates of independent refineries in Shandong Province averaged 45% Thursday, up 5.4 percentage points from one week ago, flat with a year earlier, C1's research showed.
As of Jul 7, a total of 27 independent refineries were in operation, feedstock throughput of which added up to around 76,200mt per day, up 9,100mt on week.
China Offshore Bitumen resumed production with a 1-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit back into operation. Changyi Petrochemical restarted a 5-mil-mt/yr CDU while shutting a 1-mil-mt/yr one. In addition, Jincheng Petrochemical closed a 1.5-mil-mt/yr CDU for turnaround, crude throughput of which fell from 5,000mt to 3,300mt per day.
C1's research involves in 32 independent refineries, with annual oil refining capacities aggregating 61.85-mil mt, accounting for 90% of the total topping refineries of Shandong independent refineries.
