Sinopec is expected to transmit a total of 737,500mt of gasoil and gasoline to Southwest China’s Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan via its Southwest Oil Product Pipeline in July, up 2.7% from the previous month, revealed a source with pipeline department of the oil giant.
The source ascribed the rise to one more calendar in July.
Gasoil allocation was 570,000mt, down 2% on month, while gasoline sharply up 21.4% to 167,500mt, according to the source.
Sinopec recorded relatively high gasoil inventory in Southwest China at present on soft market fundamentals, the source said, adding it hiked gasoline supply via pipeline because of limited rail supply.
Sinopec Southwest Oil Product Pipeline kicked off construction on Sep 19, 2003 and came onto stream by the end of 2005. It starts from Maoming of Guangdong province and ends in Kunming of Yuan province, passing through 37 cities and towns within Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou and Yunnan. Stretching out 1,691km in its full length and linking up 19 stations, it is the largest-scaled and longest oil products pipeline in the country by far.
