Dalian Petrochemical plans to refine 1.25-1.3-mil mt of crude in July, with daily consumption sharply up 61% from the previous month, a refinery source told C1.
Maintenance of some units will be complete later this week, the source said.
Dalian Petrochemical shut 10-mil-mt/yr (200kbd) crude distillate unit and some secondary units for 38-day maintenance on May 20, C1 reported earlier. The secondary included 3.8-mil-mt/yr naphtha hydrogenation unit, 6-mil-mt/yr kerosene/gasoil hydrogenation unit, 3.6-mil-mt/yr hydrocracker and 3-mil-mt/yr residue hydrogenation unit.
Dalian Petrochemical, located in Dalian City of Northeast China’s Liaoning Province, has an annual topping capacity of 20.5-mil mt. Imported crude accounts for over 60% of the refinery’s throughput. It is capable of producing 1,700mt per day of LPG.
