North China hiked crude output by 10.96% year-on-year to 18.63-mil mt in January-May 2011, showed the data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
Tianjin in North China boosted crude output to 14.11-mil mt in the five months, up by 15.55% year-on-year, according to the data. The growth was mainly attributable to CNOOC's crude production in the Bohai Bay region. CNOOC brought six new projects on line in the Bohai Bay in 2010, the company's annual report said.
Meanwhile, Northwest China raised crude output by 8.31% to 24.80-mil mt, and Northeast China increased output by 1.53% to 24.21-mil mt, the data indicate.
