Dutch and German spot prices were off early highs midday Wednesday as markets settled back towards the previous session's closing levels amid comfortable system fundamentals.
The TTF day-ahead contract was 10 euro cents higher at Eur19.50/MWh around noon UK time, after dealing at Eur19.75/MWh earlier in the session.
German GASPOOL day-ahead contracts were trading 5 euro cents lower at Eur19.45/MWh, having been at Eur19.525/MWh earlier.
The corresponding German NetConnect contract was up 10 euro cents up at Eur19.75/MWh. It had dealt as high as Eur19.95/MWh earlier.
Meanwhile, PEG Nord day-ahead was seen 20 euro cents lower at Eur19.80/MWh.
Spot price moves reflected a continued comfortable system outlook, made more robust Wednesday by the end of a one-day maintenance outage at the Dornum receiving terminal for Norwegian gas.
Real-time Norwegian flows into Emden-Dornum on the Dutch/German border were at 116 million cubic meters/day rates, up from 81 million cu m/day Tuesday.
Norwegian deliveries into the Netherlands were nominated to rise 20 million cu m day on day Wednesday to 61 million cu m, while Norway flows to Germany were nominated steady at 77 million cu m, according to data from Platts unit Bentek Energy.
Norway has offshore maintenance with 59 million cu m/day supply impact from Wednesday until September 23, then maintenance with impact of 27 million cu m/day from September 24-29, at which point summer maintenance ends.
"That will enable Norwegian flows to pick up in time for the start of winter contracts October 1," Bentek said.
Meanwhile, Russian deliveries into Europe were nominated at 243 million cu m, compared with 226 million cu m Tuesday.
CustomWeather forecast seasonal normal temperatures Wednesday in Amsterdam and Berlin, with temperatures in the former predicted to rise to 2 C above norms Thursday.
On the curve, October TTF last dealt around midday UK time 10 euro cents off Tuesday's close at Eur21.15/MWh, while GASPOOL and NetConnect front-month prices were 17.5 euro cents and 2.5 euro cents lower, respectively, at Eur20.925/MWh and Eur21.425/MWh.
