UK spot gas prices were looking slightly firmer early Tuesday with the system a touch short in the early morning estimates.
By 09:10 UK time the within-day had traded at 38.00 pence/therm and day-ahead at 37.60 p/th, both up from a 37.25 p/th day-ahead close the previous day.
System operator National Grid showed the system a bit short. Supply was estimated at 158 million cu m in the 09:00 UK time figures, against demand shown at 162 million cu m in the 08:00 UK time figures.
National Grid flow data showed flows into Teesside had dropped to zero early Tuesday, from as high as 14 million cu m combined into the Teesside BP and PX facilities late Monday.
There are still regular LNG deliveries to the UK.
The Qatari LNG tanker Lijmiliya was berthed at South Hook LNG, according to local port data, with the Al Karaana due to follow there with a delivery next Monday.
The Isle of Grain LNG terminal received a tanker at the weekend. UK storage remains at a high level. Gas Storage Europe shows stock levels at 94% with 4.8 billion cubic meters, compared with 74% at the same time last year.
On the forward curve, Winter 14 was quoted at 57.50-58.10 p/th, compared with a 57.75 p/th close the previous day.
