Global unwrought aluminum inventories at the end of June were down 18,000 mt from May but up 107,000 mt from June 2013, according to figures released Monday by the International Aluminium Institute.
Unwrought inventories totaled 1.285 million mt at the end of June, down from a revised May total of 1.303 million mt but up from 1.178 million mt at the end of June 2013.
Total aluminum inventories at the end of June were down 43,000 mt at 2.362 million mt, from a revised 2.405 million mt the previous month, and up 145,000 mt from 2.217 million mt at the end of June 2013, the IAI said.
