Malaysia's natural rubber production in April amounted to 36,261 mt, falling 13.1% from a month earlier and down 15.4% year on year, the Department of Statistics said in a statement late Thursday.
Its natural rubber exports fell 7.5% from March to 64,524 mt, but they were up 5.6% year on year. Of the total exports, 31,884 mt were shipped to China and 8,324 mt to Germany.
Meanwhile, natural rubber imports amounted to 60,751 mt, down 1.4% from the previous month. Year on year, the country's imports rose 9.3%.
The country's natural rubber stocks were 147,285 mt at the end of April, down 19.8% from March end, but up 3.7% from a year earlier.
