Sasol Chemicals North America will increase off-list prices for methyl ethyl ketone effective May 4, the company said Monday.
The company will increase prices for MEK 5 cents/lb, the company said in a notice to customers.
Sasol will also limit quantities of MEK to previously agreed monthly target volumes for the remainder of April and all of May.
Sasol cited market conditions as the reason for the price increase, but did not provide further specifics.
Platts most recently assessed MEK April 15 at 88-89 cents/lb ($1,940-1,962/mt) DER.
