Fushun Mining awarded Thursday its sell tender for 16,000mt of shale oil at about Yuan 5,750/mt, sharply down Yuan 426/mt or 6.89% from the previous one, according to a source with the refinery.
The source ascribed the drop to soft bunker fuel oil prices on hefty losses in global crude prices.
Fushun Mining awarded the previous similar tender on Apr 25, offering 15,000mt of shale oil.
Main buyers of shale oil are usually bunker blenders from Fushun and Yingkou cities in Liaoning Province and Qinhuangdao City in Hebei Province.
