The US acrylonitrile domestic assessment rose to a nine-month high at $1.01/lb ($2,226.64/mt) delivered Tuesday, a rise of 4 cents/lb week on week, on higher feedstock chemical-grade propylene.
The last time the domestic assessment was at this level was April 11, when it was at $1.04/lb delivered, according to Platts data.
The January US CGP contract price settled up 4 cents from December at 73 cents/lb, sources said.
The domestic assessment is a formula-based contract price using feedstock CGP, according to industry sources.
