South Korea's SK Innovation will shut its polyolefin units for scheduled maintenance in 2016 and not in 2011, a source close to the company said Monday.
The 2011 schedule that was reported by Platts on Friday last week was the turnaround schedule for 2010.
In 2011, the company will neither shut its No. 1 220,000 mt/year polyethylene unit for 24 days from October 12 to November 4, nor its No. 2 190,000 mt/year PE unit for 17 days from October 20 to November 5.
Also, SK's No. 1 183,000 mt/year polypropylene unit will not be idle for 16 days from October 18 to November 2, or its No. 2 193,000 mt/year PP unit for 16 days from October 20 to November 4.
