China exported 180,612mt of naphtha in the first quarter of 2011, sharply down 32% from the same period last year, according to data released by the General Administration of Customs.
The decline could be mainly attributable to turnaround of major exporter Dalian Wepec, lasting from end February to the first half of April, market sources pointed out.
China's naphtha imports stayed at a high level of 775,457mt during the January-March period, inching up 1% year-on-year, showed the data.
