Global primary aluminum output, excluding China, averaged 66,600 mt/day in September, down from 67,200 mt/day in August and from 66,900 mt/day in September 2012, figures released Monday by the International Aluminium Institute showed.
Total production in September (30 days) was 1.999 million mt, down from 2.084 million mt in August (31 days) and from 2.007 million mt in September 2012.
Production for January-September 2013 was 18.539 million mt at an average of 67,900 mt/day, compared with 18.618 million mt a similar daily average in the first nine months of last year.
