World's second largest oil consumer, China's crude oil output climb 4.2% year on year to 17.57 million metric tons in March this year or 4.15 million barrels per day.
According to the latest statistics figures from China's National Bureau of Statistics, in the first three months of this year, China's crude oil output increased 6.7% year on year to 51.36 million metric tons or 4.18 million barrels each day.
Last month, China's crude oil processing volume hit 37.67 million metric tons, 8% more than in the same month of last year, but down 3.4% from February as some large refineries were halted from operations for maintenance in the month.
In March, China produced 6.64 million metric tons of gasoline, 4.4% more than in the corresponding period of 2010.
The country's output of diesel and fuel oil were 13.84 million metric tons and 1.76 million metric tons, up 9.3% and 16.6% year on year, respectively.
