US distributor Southern Chemical Corporation Monday rolled over its April methanol contract price at 126 cents/gallon (about $419.50/mt) FOB US Gulf, unchanged from March, SCC said in a statement.
After discounts and rebates of 9%, the April contract price would be close to 114.66 cents/gal.
Southern's nomination was in line with expectations as no production issues have been reported and weak seasonal demand prevailed.
The company distributes in the US market the methanol produced by Methanol Holdings (Trinidad) Ltd.
Previously, Canadian methanol producer Methanex on Friday rolled over its April CP at 128 cents/gal FOB USG.
In the spot market April prices were talked at 105-106 cents/gal FOB USG.
