The NYMEX June natural gas futures contract settled Monday at $4.011/MMBtu, down 3 cents, on decreasing heating demand, sources said.
In addition to decreasing seasonal demand, "natural gas is still trying to recover from the blow of the larger-than-expected injection to storage last week," Schneider Electric analysts said. The June contract traded Monday between $3.971/MMBtu and $4.056/MMBtu.
