PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical saw LPG commodity output drop about 63% to 600mt per day after a 3.5-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker conked out Tuesday, a refinery source told C1.

The refinery has shut the FCC for maintenance, expected to last over one week, the source said.

Guangxi Petrochemical may supply less LPG to the Pearl River Delta during maintenance period in order to ensure supply to the local market, market sources expected.

Guangxi Petrochemical, located in Qinzhou City of South China's Guangxi region, has an annual topping capacity of 10-mil mt. It is designed to mostly refine Sudan crude and is equipped with 2.2-mil-mt/yr continuous reformer, 2.2-mil-mt/yr hydrocracker and 3.5-mil-mt/mt FCC.
