Japanese refiner Idemitsu Kosan has nominated the April paraxylene Asian Contract Price at $1,600/mt CFR, sources close to the negotiations said Friday.
There are four PX ACP sellers in Asia -- ExxonMobil, Idemitsu Kosan, Japan's JX Nippon Oil and Energy and South Korea's S-Oil. On Thursday, ExxonMobil nominated the April PX ACP at $1,650/mt CFR. JX and S-Oil have not yet revealed their nominations.
For March, only Japan's JX Nippon Oil and Energy settled with a buyer at $1,670/mt CFR, meaning there was no major settlement for the March ACP.
