China's polypropylene homopolymer imports increased 2.7% month on month in January to 385,957 mt, customs data released on Tuesday showed.
PP imports rose 36.5% year on year, the data showed.
Imports from Saudi Arabia edged up 3.3% from December to 97,675 mt while imports from South Korea slipped 2.9% month on month to 76,139 mt. South Korea and Saudi Arabia are the country's top two suppliers.
China's copolymer imports in January gained 15.8% from December to 137,130 mt, according to the data. This was over double the amount imported a year earlier. Imports from South Korea jumped 56% from December to 38,289 mt while imports from Taiwan climbed 20.1% month on month to 27,093 mt.
