The February US butadiene contract price settled at a rollover from January at a 76-83 cents/lb ($1,676-$1,830/mt) split settlement, sources said Monday.
Shell Chemical, TPC Group and LyondellBasell settled at 76 cents/lb, while ExxonMobil settled at 83 cents/lb, sources said.
Producers were unavailable to confirm.
Market sources expected a rollover to slightly higher February US butadiene contract price, but after ExxonMobil and TPC Group were heard to have nominated rollovers, sources said Friday that they expected Shell and LyondellBasell to nominate rollovers as well.
US butadiene demand has remained weak, but supply has gotten tighter in the market, sources said.
US spot butadiene was last assessed Friday at 81 cents/lb CIF US Gulf Coast.
The January US butadiene contract price settled in a rollover from December at 76-83 cents/lb, sources said.
