Georgia Gulf has set a 10 cents/lb ($220.40/mt)increase on domestic acetone, effective January 21, according to a letter sent by the company to its customers Friday.
The basis of the increase came from higher refinery grade propylene prices and tight market supply.
RGP was assessed at 65.50 cents/lb ($1,444.01/mt) Thursday, and the market is currently being talked at 65.75-66.25 cents/lb.
Georgia Gulf last increased acetone prices 5 cents on January 4, according to a letter it sent to customers that day.
Acetone was last assessed at 58.50 cents/lb on January 8, as prices were talked around 58-$65 cents/lb.
