Yan'an Refinery's 1.2-mil-mt/yr continuous reformer and 200,000-mt/yr benzene extraction combination unit was currently in normal operation after resuming production on Mar 13, according to a source with Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group, parent of the refinery.
The unit was shut down for maintenance due to glitch on Mar 11, C1 reported earlier.
The refinery shortened maintenance period in face of surging gasoline prices amid supply tightness, said the source.
With the unit in service, Yan'an Refinery produced about 6,000mt of gasoline and 7,000mt of gasoil daily.
Yan'an Refinery, located in Northwest China's Shaanxi Province, is one of the three subsidiary refineries of Yanchang Petroleum. The refinery has a topping capacity of 8-mil mt per year, with second processing capacity reaching 4-mil mt per year.
