China imported about 210,000 mt of natural rubber in September, unchanged from August, preliminary data released Saturday by the General Administration of Customs showed.
Year on year, imports fell 12.5% from 240,000 mt.
In the first eight months of 2012, the country imported 1.58 million mt of natural rubber, up 9.7% from 1.44 million mt a year earlier.
The data did not indicate the countries of origin for the rubber, most of which is used in tire production.
