Petrochemical manufacturer Ineos has announced a Eur170/mt increase on its S-PVC product range effective 1 September, the company said Wednesday.
The nomination came before the settlement of the September ethylene contract. The August contract settled at Eur1,175/mt FD Northwest Europe and market sentiment for September settlement is bullish.
Ethylene represents half of the production costs for PVC.
The NWE gross contract price was last assessed at Eur1,122.50/mt ($1,419/mt) FD, Wednesday.
