Japanese refiners produced 9.91 million barrels of naphtha and gasoline over July 29-August 4, up 8.4% from the previous week's output of 9.15 million barrels, the Petroleum Association of Japan said Wednesday.
Gasoline output was 7.34 million barrels, up 8.2% week on week, while naphtha production gained 8.9% week on week to 2.58 million barrels in the week of July 29-August 4.
The combined output was 1.4% lower than 10.05 million barrels for a year ago.
Stocks of the two light distillate products rose 0.8% week on week to 24.52 million barrels August 4. The stocks rose 4.8% from a year earlier when 23.40 million barrels of stocks were recorded.
