Japan imported 57,563 mt of natural rubber in June, down 11% from 64,752 mt in May and down 17% from 69,449 mt a year ago, according to a monthly report by the Rubber Trade Association of Japan released late Monday.
About 81% of June's natural rubber imports comprised of technically specified rubber, which came in at 46,989 mt in June, up from 46,757 mt in May. TSR grades are used widely in tire production.
