PetroChina Lanzhou Petrochemical is slated to process 900,000-920,000mt of crude in March, with daily throughput down 4% from the previous month, a refinery source told C1.
The refinery shut a 3-mil-mt/yr fluid catalytic cracker for maintenance end February because of glitch, which would not resume operation until Mar 7, the source revealed. During the period, crude throughput drops to 27,000mt per day, added the source.
Lanzhou Petrochemical was expected to bring on stream 3.5-mil-mt/yr gasoil hydrogenation unit with in this year, C1 reported earlier.
Lanzhou Petrochemical, located in Northwest China's Gansu Province, has a topping capacity of 13-mil mt per year. It is equipped with a 1.4-mil-mt/yr delayed coker and two fluid catalytic crackers with annual capacity of 3-mil mt and 1.4-mil mt, respectively. It supplies oil products to Southwest China through the Lanzhou-Chengdu-Chongqing Oil Product Pipeline. The refinery is capable of producing 700,000mt of ethylene annually.
