EU gas transmission system operators body Entsog has launched a public call for information on infrastructure projects to be included in its next 10-year network development plan for 2013-22, Entsog said Wednesday.
Entsog, which represents 31 TSOs from 21 countries, is tasked with publishing a non-binding EU community-wide 10-year network development plan every two years. The 2013-22 plan will be the third edition of this guide for gas infrastructure development.
Entsog published the methodology for the plan on June 20 and now seeks industry input on those infrastructure projects -- including new pipelines, upgrades to existing pipelines, storage and LNG initiatives -- that should be included in the plan.
"The assessment of the resilience of the gas infrastructure in Europe based on specific infrastructure, demand and supply scenarios remains the core part of the report. The next edition focuses on further improvement of these scenarios, in particular regarding demand and supply to ensure sufficient robustness of the analysis," said Entsog general manager Vittorio Musazzi.
Project promoters wishing to have their projects included in the plan should submit data to Entsog by September 14.
All project promoters that consider their projects eligible for entry should submit all required information using an online questionnaire on the Entsog website. http://www.entsog.eu/publications/tyndp.html.
Entsog said those projects that had already been submitted for inclusion in the current 2011-20 plan need to be resubmitted for inclusion in the new plan.
