According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of 2-EH surged in early December, but this week, the support for the rise of 2-EH decreased, and the price of 2-EH fell from its high point. As of December 15th, the quoted price of 2-EH was 12,650 RMB/ton, a decrease of 1.36% compared to the quoted price of 12,825 RMB/ton on December 8th. In early December, the operating rate of downstream plasticizers increased at a high level, leading to active procurement by major plasticizer factories. As a result, the rigid demand for 2-EH increased, resulting in a significant increase in 2-EH products; As the price of 2-EH rose, plasticizer manufacturers experienced a decrease in profits and lost, the operating load of plasticizers decreased, the high price support for 2-EH was insufficient, the demand for 2-EH decreased, and the high price of 2-EH fell back.

SunSirs’plasticizer product data analysts believe that as of December 15th, the DOP market for plasticizers was mainly characterized by short-term cyclical transactions. The high start of plasticizer production combined with the decrease in 2-EH production had led to a significant increase in 2-EH prices and an increase in plasticizer prices; As the price of 2-EH rose to a high level, plasticizer factories gradually began to lose money, the operating load decreased, leading to a decrease in demand for 2-EH, a decline in the price of iso2-EH, and a decline in the high price of plasticizers. Overall, in the cost demand gamed, short-term DOP prices were mainly volatile and consolidating. However, as plasticizer manufacturers increased losses and inventory accumulated, the enthusiasm for plasticizer production decreased. In the medium to long term, it is expected that plasticizer DOP prices will fluctuate and fall.
