According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average price of domestic liquid CPL was 12,250 RMB/ton on July 24, and the average price of domestic liquid CPL was 12,575 RMB/ton on July 28. The price of CPL rose 2.65% this week.
Analysis review
CPL market prices rose this week. The price of raw material pure benzene continued to strengthen this week, with good cost support. Under cost pressure, the spot price of CPL increased with the cost. The spot supply in the northern market was tight, and downstream customers followed up on demand, making procurement more cautious. As of July 28, the delivery price of CPL liquid in East China of Shandong Hualu Hengsheng was 12,700 RMB/ton. The settlement price of Sinopec high-end liquid CPL was 12,600 RMB/ton.
The price of raw material pure benzene increased this week. On July 24th, the price of pure benzene was 7,037 RMB/ton. On Friday (July 28th), the price of pure benzene was 7,230 RMB/ton, an increase of 4.76% compared to last week and a decrease of 19.88% compared to the same period last year. This week, the price of Sinopec pure benzene rose to 7,200 RMB/ton (with prices in Shandong and Hebei regions simultaneously increasing by 400 RMB/ton).
Market outlook
CPL analysts from SunSirs believe that the price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise in recent days. Affected by the cost boost, the market trend of CPL had risen, and the terminal demand had followed up on demand. Under the support of cost, it is expected that the price of CPL will continue to run at high levels and stronger in the short term.
