On January 12, the average purchase price of Grade A waste yellow paperboard in Zhejiang was 1,784 RMB/ton, down 2.51% from the average price of 1,830 RMB/ton on January 8. The price of corrugated paper declined slightly. The average ex-factory price of 140g corrugated base paper on January 12 was 3,190 RMB/ton, down 0.44% from the average price of 3,204 RMB/ton on January 8.
From the observation of market changes, the price of domestic waste paper remained in the state of compensation at the beginning of this week, and then the number of paper mills gradually decreased after the price reduction. Only a few paper mills adjusted the price of waste paper. At present, with the approaching of the Spring Festival holiday, the paper mills have entered the preparation for the holiday or have been on holiday. Before the year, the stock of waste paper raw materials in the paper mills was almost at the end, and the stock of waste paper was basically at a high level. Therefore, the price has been continuously reduced to reduce the arrival of waste paper.
In terms of the price of corrugated base paper, the price decreased slightly this week. Influenced by the approaching holiday of the Spring Festival, the operating rate of most paper mills has dropped sharply, and the paper mills have been shut down for holidays. Downstream paper packaging enterprises basically ended the production before the year, and the demand for base paper was significantly reduced, and the market trading performance was weak. The reduction in the price of corrugated paper is also mainly due to the increase in shipments, and most of the paper mills operate smoothly.
According to the paper analysts of SunSirs, at present, the upstream and downstream of the paper industry have entered the Spring Festival holiday stage, and the domestic logistics and transportation have also been gradually suspended, so the prices of waste paper and corrugated paper have been largely stable and slightly changed, and it is expected that the prices of waste paper and corrugated paper will fluctuate in China in the short term.
