Analysis review
Most of the domestic maleic anhydride market produced by benzene process was shut down this week. The supply of main factories was sufficient this week, and the downstream resin procurement was weak, so the procurement was cautious. As of December 13, the solid maleic anhydride in Shandong was about 6,500 RMB/ton, and that in Jiangsu was about 6,500 RMB/ton. There was no new price outflow from Shanxi and Hebei, and that in South China was about 6,900 RMB/ton.
In terms of upstream, pure benzene fluctuated in a range this week. On November 4, the average price of pure benzene was 6,967 RMB/ton, and on November 11, the average price was 6,976 RMB/ton, up 0.13% from last week. The ex factory price of hydrogenated benzene in North China dropped sharply this week, the price was 7,150 RMB/ton at last weekend and 6,966.67 RMB/ton at this weekend, down 2.56%. As for n-butane, as of November 13, the price in Shandong was 5,300 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
According to the maleic anhydride product analysts of SunSirs, the benzene oxidation process in the domestic maleic anhydride market is suffering from serious losses at present, the factory is shut down for maintenance, and the market circulation supply is less; This week, the supply of main maleic anhydride plants was sufficient, the purchase of resin was weak, and the transaction was cautious. and the market was mostly wait-and-see. It is expected that the maleic anhydride market may be weakly consolidated in the near future.
