According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the dichloromethane market rose sharply this week (10.11-10.16). As of October 16, the average price of dichloromethane in Shandong was 8,587 RMB/ton, which was an overall increase of 44.88% from the price of 5,927 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week.
Analysis review
This week, the domestic methane chloride plant load continued to remain low.
The price of raw material liquid chlorine and methanol rose this week, and the cost side continued to have support for the market of dichloromethane. According to SunSirs, as of October 16, the methanol price was 4,455 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.72% from the 4,337 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week; the mainstream ex-factory price of liquid chlorine for tank trucks in Shandong area was about 2,500 RMB/ton.
Market outlook
The methane chloride data analyst of SunSirs believes that the dichloromethane industry is expected to start at a low level and is expected to decline again, and the cost side is rising. It is expected that the dichloromethane market will remain high in the short term.
