Upstream, domestic caprolactam spot market fell slightly in mid July. The current domestic demand for caprolactam is slow to follow up and the cost side is weak. It is expected that the price of caprolactam is easy to fall but difficult to rise in the short term.
At present, the load of domestic PA6 polymerization plant has little change compared with that at the beginning of this month, which is stable at about 60%. In terms of market demand, the consumption of terminal enterprises has not yet come out of the off-season market. There is a heavy wait-and-see atmosphere in the market, and the actual delivery is mostly early orders. The rising trend in the first ten days of July affected the purchasing power of downstream enterprises. At present, the buyers are in the mood of offsetting the high price supply, and the stocking operation is biased towards just need replenishment to maintain production. In addition, the raw material caprolactam has been falling in a narrow range recently, the cost support of PA6 has been loosened, and the price of PA6 keeps up with the upstream to a certain extent.
SunSirs analysts believe that: in mid July, caprolactam upstream of PA6 narrowly weakened, and the cost support of PA6 was weakened. At present, the operating rate of PA6 industry remains at a low level, and the supply side support still exists. However, end users resisted the rise of spot price in the first ten days of the year, and the resistance of high price goods on the floor to shipment increased, resulting in the shrinkage of trading in the middle of the year, and the market has a strong wait-and-see mentality. It is expected that the spot price of PA6 will weaken in a narrow range in China in the short term.
