According to the data monitoring of SunSirs, the market price of ammonium chloride rose slightly this week (3.22-3.26). The price at the beginning of the week was around 737 RMB/ton, and the price at the weekend was around 745 RMB/ton, an overall increase of 1.02%.
Analysis review
This week, the operating rate of ammonium chloride enterprises rose to around 80%, and the supply of ammonium chloride increased. However, some manufacturers’pre-orders were still being delivered, and the overall pressure on the manufacturers was not great. In terms of demand, the overall operating rate of downstream compound fertilizers was around 50%, which had certain support for ammonium chloride. According to SunSirs, as of March 26, 2021, Huai’an Bolian Trading’s agricultural ammonium chloride premium products had stable prices, with dry ammonium chloride quoting 800 RMB/ton; wet ammonium chloride 740 RMB/ton; the 600,000 tons/year ammonium chloride plant of China National Salt Kunshan was operating normally. The price of dry ammonium chloride was about 760 RMB/ton, and the price of wet ammonium chloride was 690 RMB/ton; Henan Jinshan agricultural ammonium chloride, the dry ammonium chloride provincial delivery price was 830 RMB/ton, and the wet ammonium chloride provincial delivery price was 750 RMB/ton.
The price of raw liquid ammonia has risen sharply, and the urea market has been affected by the news of the printed label, and the manufacturers have raised their prices, which have formed strong support for ammonium chloride. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of March 26, the domestic liquid ammonia price was 3,870 RMB/ton, which was an overall increase of 8.00% from the price of 3,583 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week; As of March 26, the domestic urea price was 2,133 RMB/ton, compared with the price of 2,116 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week, an overall increase of 0.79%.
Market outlook
The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that the current cost support of ammonium chloride is strong. Although the demand is supported, the peak season for agricultural demand is gradually over, and the demand support in the later period is weakened. In addition, the start of Hou's production is not low, and there will be inventory pressure in the later period. Ammonium chloride is expected to rise firstly and then fall in the later period.
