PetroChina started to build Nanning-Liuzhou oil product pipeline in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Feb 20, the company announced on Feb 23.
This pipeline has a design transport capacity of 1.5-mil mt/yr, expected to be ready for service before Dec 20, 2011, C1 learned. It will connect Guangxi Petrochemical's outward oil product pipeline and pass Nanning and Laibin cities before reaching Liuzhou, to cover a distance of 193km.
After coming on line, the pipeline will enhance PetroChina's competitiveness and ability to ensure supply in southern areas.
C1 reported earlier that Sinopec brought on line Liuzhou-Guilin oil product pipeline in Guangxi in March 2010.
