The overall operating rate of ammonium chloride enterprises this week was slightly lower than that in the previous period, and the supply of ammonium chloride was relatively tight. According to SunSirs, the ammonium chloride plants in Sichuan Guangyu and Yunnan Yunwei are under maintenance, and the restart time is yet to be determined. From the perspective of demand, after the Spring Festival, the overall operating rate of downstream compound fertilizer companies gradually recovered to near 50%, and agricultural demand stocks increased, which has certain support for ammonium chloride. In addition, the demand for medical feed also recovered, and the overall demand for ammonium chloride was relatively strong, driving up prices. According to SunSirs, as of March 5, 2021, the 1.1 million tons of ammonium chloride plant in Sichuan Leshan Hebang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was operating normally, the inventory was low and the daily output was 3,500 tons. The ex-factory price of dry ammonium chloride was 780 RMB/ton; Huai’an Bolian Trading’s agricultural ammonium chloride premium products had stable prices. Dry ammonium chloride was quoted at 800 RMB/ton; wet ammonium chloride was quoted at 700 RMB/ton; The 600,000 tons/year ammonium chloride plant of ChinaSalt Kunshan was operating normally, and the current price of dry ammonium chloride was about 730 RMB/ton.
The price of raw liquid ammonia rose slightly after the Spring Festival, and the urea market was still at a high level, all of which had certain support for ammonium chloride.
Market outlook
The ammonium chloride analyst of SunSirs believes that the current supply of ammonium chloride is tight, and the demand is supported, but ammonium chloride is still strong in the later period, and the price is high.
