This week, the domestic price of chlorinated paraffin 52 first grade was stable. The overall price of the paraffin market was firm. As of February 5th, the overall plant operating rate in Shandong remained at about 50%, and the chlorinated paraffin plants in Hebei and Henan were shut down. On February 5th, the ex-factory price of chlorinated paraffin 52 in East China was about 4,900-5,100 RMB/ton, the price of chlorinated paraffin 52 in Northeast China was about 5,200 RMB/ton, and the price of chlorinated paraffin 52 in Northwest China was about 5,200 RMB/ton.
In terms of international crude oil, on January 21, the U.S. WTI crude oil futures market price fell, and the main contract settlement price was reported at 53.13 US dollars per barrel, a decrease of 0.18 US dollars. The price of Brent crude oil futures market rose, and the main contract settlement price was reported at 56.10 US dollars per barrel, an increase of 0.02 US dollars. Crude oil WTI fell slightly on Thursday. Previous data showed that US crude oil inventories unexpectedly increased last week, making the market worried about the slowdown in fuel demand and expected reignition. At the same time, US stimulus measures were expected to limit price declines.
In terms of liquid wax, the price of liquid wax was relatively stable this week, and the overall trading atmosphere was light and stable. In terms of liquid chlorine, the market price of Jiangsu liquid chlorine ranged from 600-1,100 RMB/ton. The supply of liquid chlorine in most companies in Shandong improved, and companies in some areas in Shandong quoted at 1,150-1,250 RMB/ton.
In terms of demand, as the Spring Festival approaches, downstream companies were basically on holidays, and the overall trading atmosphere was average.
