US-based Foster Wheeler said it has secured the engineering, procurement and construction management contract for a propylene oxide project, which will be part of the Sadara petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia.
The contract was awarded by Aramco Overseas Co., a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, and Dow Europe, it said.
The value of the deal, which was an extension of the front-end engineering design contract awarded to Foster Wheeler by Aramco and Dow in 2008, was not disclosed.
The propylene oxide project is scheduled to be on stream in the first quarter of 2015, Foster Wheeler said in a statement late Monday.
It is part of the fully integrated Sadara chemical complex being developed in the Jubail Industrial City in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. Sadara is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia and Dow.
