Shandong Dongming Petrochemical plans to start operation of a 3-mil-mt/yr crude distillate unit in early April, said a source with the company.
The CDU was built in early 2010, and it has been idle since then.
The refinery will bring a 1.2-mil-mt/yr residue fluid catalytic cracker on stream at the same time, according to the source.
Dongming Petrochemical started month-long maintenance of a 600,000-mt/yr catalytic unit and a 300,000-mt/yr around Feb 20, he added.
Located in Heze city, Dongming Petrochemical has 2.5-mil mt of annual topping capacity. It supplies products mainly to East China and Central China.
