Analysis review
Recently, the domestic formaldehyde market price has fluctuated and consolidated. As of January 6, the mainstream ex-factory price in Central China was around 1,250 RMB/ton, the mainstream manufacturer in North China was priced at 1,060 RMB/ton, and the mainstream ex-factory price in East China was 1,246 RMB/ton. Shandong Linyi Yinhe's formaldehyde plant with an annual production capacity of 120,000 tons was shut down. Recently, the operating rate in Shandong has dropped, and some formaldehyde plants have shut down for maintenance. Generally speaking, the on-site operating rate is at a low level, real orders are generally traded, and the formaldehyde market fluctuates and consolidates.
Upstream methanol situation: The methanol market prices in southern Shandong fall 20-30 RMB/ton to 2,210-2,230 RMB/ton. Linyi received local goods at 2,220-2,230 RMB/ton and delivered them without tax. The mainstream prices are low, and there is no quotation for logistics goods. The reference price of Shandong methanol in Lubei market is 2,200 RMB/ton. The transaction prices in the methanol market in central Shandong remain stable at 2,290 RMB/ton in cash. The methanol market fell slightly in some areas, and support for formaldehyde is limited.
Recently, the timber plant in southern Shandong has started generally, and the purchase of formaldehyde has been maintained, and the market trading atmosphere is light. Before the Spring Festival holiday is approaching, some board factories have plans to leave in advance.
Market outlook
Recently, the upstream raw material methanol market has declined slightly, cost support is not strong, the downstream timber mill operating rate is not high, and the demand is average. Therefore, the formaldehyde analyst of SunSirs predicts that the price of formaldehyde in Shandong will fall mainly in the near future.
